Chaplain

Jef serves as a pastor in Sparta, WI. It was in 2004 that he sought to serve his community as a chaplain.  He gained some valuable experience working with the Sparta Police Department and was later requested to serve the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. At present, Jef serves five local, county and state law enforcement agencies as well as other emergency responders. He is a certified law enforcement chaplain for the state of Wisconsin and has extensive experience in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) with first responders.

Jef is grateful for the way God has used him in lives of law enforcement officers and the privilege of bringing Christ to bear in the hard times our officers face. He often reminds himself and the officers he serves; “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for them who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7).
