As a former Marine officer and retired Army officer, it was a natural draw for Bob to relate to law enforcement. In addition to having a military mindset, he has a son who served as a police officer. Bob is a retired pastor who got his start as a chaplain in St. Paul, MN and later in Dane County, WI where he served as a pastor.

Upon retiring as a pastor, Bob founded Blue LIne Chaplains in the desire to meet the need of law enforcement agencies to provide accessible, competent and confidencial chaplain support. He currently serves as a solo chaplain for three local agencies and as a team chaplain for three state agencies. Bob is a certified chaplain in Wisconsin as well as a certified instructor for the International Conference of Police Chaplains. He is trained and experienced as a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) facilitator working primarily with law enforcement and other first responders.
